Update 13th July 2021
Dear Residents Family and Friends,
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has said it is “highly unlikely” lockdown will end on Friday 16 July after NSW continued to record a rise in locally acquired cases of COVID-19. There is now in excess of 300 exposure locations across Sydney (review this web page) with a total of 707 active locally acquired cases since 16 June.
Greater Sydney is currently under a ‘stay at home order’. On advice from NSW Health Acacia, Strathdale and Willowood Centres will remain CLOSED to Visitors. Essential care visits and compassionate visits for palliating residents will operate with the approval of the Facility Services Manager and are on a case by case basis.
If you have been granted permission, prior to entering the facility you must:-
- Have a Covid-19 test and show proof of negative result (dated 10 no more than 3 days old – retesting every 3 days)
- Wear a mask whilst in the facility
- Use hand sanitiser upon entering the facility and Resident room, and again on exit
- Complete the visitor health declaration reviewing ALL locations of concern
From Monday 12 July 2021 all staff and visitors to residential aged care facilities will need to check-in using the Service NSW QR code app. You will still be required to complete the health declaration and have your temperature recorded as well.
Remember phone and video calls are available. If you would like to set up a time please email the facility or ring Reception during business hours for assistance. Please note whilst the RN’s are available to discuss the care needs of Residents, their phone cannot be used for calls with Residents. The RN phone must be available and with the RN at all times.
Please stay home. We all rely on each other to do the right thing.
