Update 25th June 2021
Dear Residents Family and Friends,
In response to the current Sydney outbreak and in view of the fact this is a highly virulent strain of COVID-19 with multiple methods of transmission, Columbia has made the decision to CLOSE our Sydney facilities Centre for Visitors from 5.00pm today. The Columbia Executive will review visitor access again at 1pm on Monday 28 June.
Only those family or friends providing functional care duties will be permitted entry. Compassionate visits for residents who are actively palliating will also continue. Both functional care visits and visits for palliating residents will operate with the approval of the Facility Services Manager and are on a case by case basis – please email columbia@cnh.com.au.
If you have been granted permission, prior to entering the facility you must:-
- Have a Covid-19 test and show proof of negative result
(dated from today, 25 June onwards) - Complete the visitor health declaration reviewing ALL locations of concern
- photo ID displaying proof of your residential address
The Local Government Areas (LGA’s) of City of Sydney, Waverly, Randwick and Woollahra were all placed under a stay at home order by NSW Health today. If you live or work in any of the attached suburbs YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER the facility.
Residents should not be moving beyond the boundary of the facility at this time unless for specialist medical appointments and where specific protocols are in place.
The Columbia Executive are monitoring the COVID-19 locations closely and are taking every precaution to keep our most vulnerable safe. We are in communication with the local area Public Health Unit for ongoing guidance during this period.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation at this time.
A further email update will be provided on Monday 28 June 2021 at 3pm.
Kind regards,
Tiffany
