Dear Residents, Family and Friends,
Earlier in the week Prime Minister Scott Morrison made several comments regarding the visitation arrangements for residential aged care facilities. This has come at a time when we are seeing an increase in the number of COVID-19 infections in aged care.
We still believe that prevention is our best defence. Our No Visitor Policy is key to minimising the risk to all those in our care. To date we have been successful – Columbia has NO cases of COVID-19.
Our priority is the health and safety of our Residents and Staff and with this in mind the No Visitor Policy will remain. An end of life pathway remains the only exception to this direction.
Decisions on visitation across Columbia are under constant review and we look forward to the day when we can welcome Family and Friends back. We acknowledge how hard this is for everyone but appreciate your ongoing patience and support at this time.
Each facility has specific dial in details – if you have been unable to connect please email the Facilty Manager, let us know the Resident and Facility you are looking to connect with and your request will be forwarded.
Thank you and stay safe.
Tiffany.
