Dear Residents, Family and Friends
Attached is the updated advice for residential aged care facilities from Dr Kerry Chant Chief Health Officer, NSW Health.
Until further notice: any visitors to any residential aged care facility who have been in the following local government areas in the previous 14 days
should be excluded from the facility:
Camden | Liverpool | Wingecarribee |
Campbelltown | Parramatta | Wollondilly |
Eastern part of City of Sydney | Randwick | Woollahra |
Fairfield | Waverly |
Prevention is our best defense and we are relying on all Family and Friends to do the right thing. Please review the advice provided by the Federal and State Government public health departments and if you fall into the above category – do not attend any Columbia Aged Care facility.
To find out if your suburb falls into one of the above Local Government Areas please see the attached map or search on the internet. Simply go to www.google.com and type in any of the local government areas above and request a suburbs list. For example, type: Randwick LGA suburbs list. If your suburb is listed, you are unable to enter an Aged Care facility.
We know how important it is for Residents to connect with their Family and Friends. If you have a visitor booking and can no longer attend let us know and we can arrange a video or phone call, please email columbia@cnh.com.au indicating the name of the Resident and the facility.
We are monitoring the risks associated with COVID-19 throughout the day – every day.
“We have always said from the beginning of this pandemic that we cannot completely protect our elderly unless we control community transmission.”
Dr Brendan Murphy Secretary Australian Department of Health.
As a community we now must all play our part in helping control the spread.
If you have any concerns please contact your Facility Services Manager.
Stay Safe
