How it Works
Supporting you to live well, your way.
The 5 Step Process
There are five steps to follow when you are considering joining us, or if you think your family member may need further support.
Step 1
Check Eligibility
-
Start by arranging an Aged Care Assessment (ACAT). This government assessment helps determine the care and support you’re eligible for.
Step 2
Book a Tour
-
Visit our homes to get a feel for the spaces, meet our team, and see firsthand the warm and welcoming environment we offer.
Step 3
Apply
-
When you’re ready to apply for a home, fill out our application for accomodation form via the button below. Alternatively, you can download the form here and email it to columbia@cnh.com.au.
Step 4
Assessment
-
After you apply, we’ll carry out a pre-admission assessment to understand your individual needs and make sure we’re the right fit for you.
Step 5
Move In
-
Once everything is in place, we’ll work with you and your family to plan your move. We’ll be here to welcome you and help you settle into your new home.
Fees
At Columbia Aged Care, we believe in clear, simple information so you can make confident choices. There are a few different fees that may apply, depending on your circumstances, as well as a range of room types to suit your needs and preferences.
Fees and costs vary depending on your individual circumstance but can also found using this link.
There are three main types of fees in aged care:
Basic Daily Care Fee
Covers everyday services like meals, cleaning, laundry, and personal care. This fee is set by the Australian Government.
Accommodation Payment
Helps pay for your room and access to shared facilities. Depending on your financial situation, this can be paid as:
- A lump sum (Refundable Accommodation Deposit)
- Daily payments
- Or a combination of both
Means Tested Care Fee
An additional fee based on your income, assets, and level of care required. Not everyone is required to pay this fee.
Before moving in, you’ll complete an Income and Asset Assessment to work out what fees apply to you.
